Will I Be Notified of Where the Library Licenses My Music?

Short answer: not yet — but we’re working on it.

At That Pitch, you’ll always be notified when your track is accepted into a library. However, the industry currently doesn’t have a reliable system that allows real-time tracking of every individual sync placement across all platforms.

Why this happens

Once music enters a library’s catalog, it can be licensed in many different ways — across regions, clients, and media types. Reporting standards vary widely, and many libraries don’t have systems that provide instant placement data.

Because of this, there isn’t currently a universal way to track every usage in real time.

What we’re building toward

Improving transparency around placements is a priority for us. Our goal is to create better visibility so artists can see more clearly where their music is being used.

In the meantime:

  • Your PRO tracks performance royalties

  • Content ID tracks YouTube usage

  • Third-party tools may provide additional insights

The big picture

Libraries focus on distributing music as widely as possible, while royalty systems handle payment tracking. As technology improves, reporting will continue to get better across the industry.

Simple version: you’ll know when your track enters a library, but full placement tracking isn’t available yet — and we’re actively working toward it.
