Understanding Our Non-Exclusive Library Agreements

At That Pitch, all library relationships are non-exclusive. This means your music stays flexible, widely licensable, and fully under your control.

Our agreements are designed so you can reach the largest number of opportunities without locking your music into one partner.

The big picture

When you upload music through That Pitch:

  • Your recordings remain non-exclusive

  • You keep 100% ownership

  • Your music can be represented across multiple libraries

  • You receive 100% of your earnings

  • You’re never locked into one deal

This structure helps your tracks travel further and generate more opportunities.

Why we only work non-exclusively

Exclusive agreements limit where your music can go. In the sync world, more availability usually means:

  • More placements

  • More exposure

  • More royalties

By keeping everything non-exclusive, your music stays open to the widest possible network.

A note about library agreements

Most libraries include NDAs in their contracts, which is standard practice in the sync licensing industry. Because of this, we cannot share specific agreements. However, all partnerships fit within the framework of That Pitch’s distribution agreement, which you accept when joining. Additionally, each agreement is reviewed and voted upon from a 15-seat artist board, ensuring each library agreement is fair and agreeable to our members.

What to expect when working with libraries

Non-Exclusive Distribution

Once your track is uploaded, it remains non-exclusive at all times. No library in our network requires exclusivity.

Library Processing Time

Libraries operate on their own schedules. Some may ingest music quickly, while others take longer depending on their internal review systems. We deliver music immediately, but their catalog timelines vary. Additionally, not all libraries have public facing catalogs. Many catalogs require login, or are curated behind the scenes for each client’s needs.

Pricing and Terms

Each library sets its own pricing and licensing structure. Their model and agreement are submitted to That Pitch when they apply to work with us. Our artist board reviews these terms and votes on whether the deal structure is fair and beneficial for members before any partnership is approved.

From what we’ve consistently seen, more accessible music tends to generate more placements, which often leads to higher overall royalties over time.

Territory

We distribute your music worldwide unless specific regions are restricted by a library’s policies.

Library Policies

Libraries may decide whether or not to carry certain recordings based on their needs. In rare cases, tracks may be removed due to legal or business considerations.

To keep licensing smooth, YouTube Content ID is centrally managed by That Pitch. This ensures:
