Short answer: it’s best not to.
When your music is placed through That Pitch, we act as the communication bridge between artists and libraries. Libraries work with us specifically so they can manage music at scale without being flooded with individual requests.
That said, a quick thank-you note is totally fine. Anything beyond that is usually not recommended.
When it’s okay to reach out
If you want to send a brief message expressing appreciation for them selecting your track, that’s perfectly acceptable. A simple thank-you can leave a positive impression.
What to avoid
Reaching out about updates, pitching more music, asking for feedback, or requesting special treatment can create friction. Libraries operate on tight schedules, and unexpected outreach can interrupt their workflow.
Libraries partner with That Pitch because:
We streamline communication
We handle submissions and logistics
We reduce administrative overhead
When artists bypass this system, it can make things harder for everyone involved.
Best practice
If you ever have questions, requests, or need support, it’s always best to contact us directly. We’re here to communicate with libraries on your behalf and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Simple version: a thank-you is okay. For everything else, let us handle it.
