Sometimes — it depends on who owns the original music.
At That Pitch, remixes and DJ mixes can only be accepted if all original rights holders are fully independent and properly credited.
Here’s the simple rule:
If every individual writer and rights holder involved in the original song is independent and included on the track, then yes — it can be uploaded.
However, if the remix includes music that:
Is released by a major label
Has a publisher attached
Involves commercially popular music with multiple rights holders
then we can’t accept it.
The reason is that sync licensing requires clear, direct permission from all rights holders. Major label or publisher-controlled music creates legal and licensing barriers that make placements extremely difficult or impossible.
To upload a remix, it must be:
Fully cleared
Entirely independent
Free from major label or publisher ownership
Simple version: fully independent remixes are okay. Major label music is not.
