Uploading your music to That Pitch is straightforward! You can get your tracks into our system and out to our partner networks in just a few quick clicks.
Step-by-Step Upload Process
To submit your music for pitching and distribution, log into your account and complete this sequence:
1.Navigate to Your Catalog:
Log in to your master dashboard and click on "My Music" located in the top navigation bar.
2.Initialize the Ingestion Window:
Click the "Add Music" button on the right side of the screen to open up the media submission prompts.
3.Attach Audio and Metadata:
Drag and drop your audio file, fill out the required descriptive tags, input your collaborator splits, and click submit to lock the asset to your catalog.
File Requirements & System Specifications
To ensure your music smoothly routes into our system and remains fully compatible across all active partner pipelines, your track files must stay within the following technical boundaries:
Maximum File Size: 75MB total per track asset.
Maximum Track Length: 10 minutes total duration.
Accepted File Formats: MP3 or WAV (both are completely fine—libraries and our system do not prioritize one over the other for initial ingestion).
Understanding Audio Formats in Sync Pipelines
There is a common misconception that uploading a WAV file gives you an automatic advantage over an MP3 file during the initial submission phase. Within our network and modern music indexing platforms, both file types are treated equally:
The Initial Search Phase: When music supervisors, video editors, and partner libraries browse our pitching pools, they prioritize speed and quick auditioning. Our partner systems easily index both MP3 and WAV files for streaming evaluation, and libraries do not favor one format over the other when selecting tracks.
The Final Production Phase: If you upload an MP3 for your main track, you do not need to worry about final video mixing limitations. Whenever an editor licenses a track, they utilize the full-quality individual stems to complete their video layouts.
Providing Stems and Alternate Mixes
If you wish to provide high-resolution audio files, alternate underscores, or loops for editors to use in their final video mixes, you can do so during our secondary asset step.
If your high-resolution audio files exceed our 75MB main dashboard limit, simply compress your 24-bit/48 kHz WAV files, alternate arrangements, and multi-track stems directly into a standard ZIP file and upload it under the stems section of your track profile.
Simple version: Log in, click "My Music," and hit "Add Music" to upload. You can submit either an MP3 or a WAV file—our library partners do not prioritize or favor one over the other for placement. Higher-resolution files can be safely packaged inside your ZIP stems anytime.
