At That Pitch, we do not allow any libraries in our network to use your music for AI training. Our distribution and licensing agreements explicitly prohibit our partners or their clients from using your catalog for:
Training generative music models
Training lyric generation tools
Any AI architecture designed to replicate, clone, or create new music
We are here to help human creators get paid—not to feed machines. Whether your track is distributed non-exclusively or otherwise, its audio fingerprints are legally protected against generative harvesting.
Clarifying Our AI Stance: Training vs. Content Creation
To avoid confusion regarding how AI intersects with our platform, it is important to distinguish between AI training and the licensing of AI-assisted content:
1. Zero-Tolerance on AI Training
Regardless of how a track was created, no music uploaded to That Pitch is ever permitted to be used as data food to train generative algorithms. This is a blanket, non-negotiable legal restriction across our entire network.
2. Library Policies on AI-Generated Track Submissions
While your human-made music is strictly protected from being trained on, please note that individual partner libraries have differing submission guidelines regarding music that utilizes AI tools in its production:
Domestic & High-End Partners: The vast majority of our premium, high-end library partners maintain strict, zero-tolerance policies against licensing AI-generated music due to copyright and legal chain-of-title risks.
International Partners: A select few external libraries (primarily overseas) do accept AI-assisted or AI-generated tracks for traditional sync licensing, provided all underlying platform rules and metadata requirements are met.
The One Acceptable Use of AI: Recommendation Engines
The only instance where AI interacts with your music is through automated metadata and discovery tools. Some enterprise clients and libraries utilize machine-learning recommendation algorithms to analyze search tags, track speeds, and moods.
This process does not involve creating new music, cloning your style, or training generative systems. It simply functions as an advanced search engine to help supervisors match your existing tracks to the right film, TV, or advertising opportunities faster.
Simple version: Your music will never be used to train generative AI. While a few select overseas libraries may license AI-created music, all tracks on That Pitch are legally shielded from being harvested by AI models.
