If you find that your track isn't appearing in certain libraries or hasn't moved forward in the distribution process, it usually isn't a technical bug. Instead, it most likely relates to Clearance and Eligibility. For a track to be distributed safely to our library partners, it must meet specific legal and creative criteria.
Here are the three most common reasons why your track's visibility might be limited or flagged as ineligible:
1. Pending Split Sheet Approvals
If you have listed co-writers or collaborators on your track via our upload workflow, the song cannot be fully cleared for sync distribution until every single collaborator has accepted their invite and approved their split percentage. Because splits are permanent once confirmed, libraries will not touch a track with an incomplete chain of title.
The Fix: Check your dashboard to see if any invites are still marked as "Pending." We recommend reaching out to your collaborators directly to ensure they’ve logged in and confirmed the agreement.
2. Uncleared Samples or Potential Copyright Issues
Professional music libraries require 100% original content or fully cleared, documented samples. Our system (and the automated fingerprinting networks of our partners) actively scans for uncleared loops, phrases, or melodies that match existing copyrighted works.
The Issue: If an asset triggers a copyright flag, libraries will automatically reject the track to shield themselves and their enterprise clients from future legal disputes.
The Fix: Ensure you own or have explicitly licensed the commercial rights to every single sound in your song. Avoid using generic "royalty-free" construction kit loops without modifying them, as they heavily trigger digital fingerprinting systems.
3. AI-Generated Content Restrictions
The landscape of artificial intelligence in sync music is strictly regulated. To protect the integrity of human creators, the vast majority of our high-end, domestic library partners enforce a zero-tolerance policy against licensing AI-generated music (such as songs created using generative platforms like Suno, Udio, or similar tools).
The Impact: If a track utilizes generative AI tools, its distribution eligibility will be heavily limited to a select few external partners (primarily overseas) that explicitly allow it, or it may be excluded entirely from premium television, film, and commercial pipelines.
Our Core AI Protection: Please note that while individual library policies vary on whether they license AI-assisted content, no music uploaded to That Pitch—regardless of how it was created—is ever permitted to be used for generative AI training models. Our contracts explicitly protect your catalog from algorithmic harvesting.
