If you’ve made a licensing deal outside of That Pitch and need to clear a track for YouTube’s Content ID system (whether for a single video, a channel, or for a Youtube Live Stream), follow the steps below.
Steps to Submit for YouTube Content ID Clearance:
-
Access the Submission Form:
To request a YouTube Content ID clearance, simply use our provided form to start the process. -
Provide the Necessary Details:
Enter the YouTube URL or video ID for the content that requires clearance. This ensures your track is properly cleared for YouTube’s Content ID system. -
Submit the Request:
Once you’ve entered the required information, submit the form and wait for confirmation that your request has been received. -
Wait for Processing:
YouTube will typically recognize the clearance within 24 hours. After that, your track will be cleared and protected under YouTube's Content ID system.

What Tracks Can I Get a License For?
You can get a license for any of your non-exclusive tracks that are available on That Pitch. The license covers all types of YouTube content, including Youtube Live Streams, Youtube Videos, Youtube Shorts, and Youtube Channels.
However, if your track is exclusive or has been added to a library exclusively, we are unable to clear it through That Pitch. To use these tracks, you (or whomever wants to license your music) would need to obtain a license directly from the library where the track is housed.
Do I Get Royalties From YouTube Content?
Yes, if your tracks are properly registered with a performing rights organization (PRO) you will receive backend royalties from Youtube, even when you are granting a license. This applies even if you provide a license for non-exclusive tracks used on YouTube Live Streams, YouTube Channels, Youtube Shorts, or Youtube Videos. Any views or streams generated will count towards your royalties.
