Short answer: You can make edits to certain track details, but you cannot replace the actual audio file or change the primary track title once a track has been uploaded. Each track fingerprint goes through ClearedMusic.io to ensure immediate copyright compliance across our network.
To keep your files aligned with our partner libraries, modifications are restricted based on the specific element you want to change:
What You CANNOT Change (Locked Elements)
Replacing Track Audio: Once an audio file is uploaded, it cannot be swapped out or overwritten. If you need to update the mix, arrangement, or master file, you must completely delete the existing track from your dashboard and upload the new version as a brand-new submission.
Renaming Tracks: The primary title of your track is locked the moment the upload is complete. Please double-check your spelling, formatting, and casing before hitting submit.
What You CAN Change (Editable Elements)
While the core audio and title are permanent, you can make edits to secondary track details at any time. Through your track settings, you are free to update:
Track descriptions and background stories
Search tags, genres, and moods
Writer and publisher split metadata
By keeping core assets locked while leaving metadata flexible, we ensure that your tracks remain fully compliant and stable within our library routing system without blocking your ability to fine-tune your search data.
